Dr George Thom

Has been practicing medicine since 1993 and completed his DA (SA) in 1996. Since then, he mainly worked as an Anaesthetist and in emergency rooms overseas and locally.
He completed his sedation diploma with Prof Roelofse in 2011 at Tygerberg Campus, when he started specializing in sedation and since then working almost exclusively as a Sedationist.
Mariam Hendricks

Mariam is the administrative coordinator for the sedation specialists practice. Her key duties and responsibilities include all patient communication, daily practice administration and sedation scheduling.
Prior to joining our practice, she was a practice manager and dental nurse in the dental field for 18 years. She completed a medical and dental office assistant course through Intec college. She also obtained a dental nursing certificate through CPUT.
Dr Alrisah Le Roux

Practicing medicine from 2001. Completed DA(SA) 2004. Worked abroad in Anaesthesia and ICU until 2008. Started working in conscious sedation 2008 and critical care unit Tygerberg hospital. Doing full time conscious sedation and general anaesthesia since 2012.
